Wire-up checklist

  • 1× outdoor IP camera (e.g. Reolink RLC-820A or similar, ~£100–150)
  • RTSP stream → small Linux box (Raspberry Pi 4 or NUC)
  • YOLOv8n nano model running locally — counts cars in defined polygon
  • POST count to single PHP endpoint on cPanel every 60s
  • This page polls the endpoint, updates the live count
